Ingredients
  

Cake Base
  • 400 g Vanilla Cake Mix
  • 3 Eggs
  • 125 g Butter
  • 250 mls Milk
Creamy Filling
  • 100 g Cottees Instant Vanilla Pudding
  • 500 mls Milk
Frosting & Topping
  • 500 g Vanilla Frosting
  • 115 g Sprinkles (100's and 1000's)
  • Cooking Spray

Method
 

Preparation and Cake Base
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Grease a muffin tray or prepare individual cups for assembling.
  2. Prepare the vanilla cake batter according to packet instructions, mixing cake mix, eggs, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until just combined.
  3. Divide batter evenly into muffin tray and bake for 20–25 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
  4. Cool completely before assembling. This is essential to keep layers stable.
  5. Make the filling by whisking Cottee's Instant Vanilla Pudding with cold milk until thick and set. Refrigerate briefly if needed.
Assembly (this is your Dot Cake structure)
  1. Cut your cake into 3 layers and then use the first section of each cake to crumble it into the base of each cup or jar (this is your first layer).
  2. Add a generous layer of vanilla pudding over the cake
  3. Add a layer of vanilla frosting on top of the pudding. Smooth or pipe for a cleaner finish. Top with Sprinles
  4. Add another layer of cake and repeat the process twice more to get 3 layers of cake in total
  5. On the final layer, dip the cups in a plate of sprinkles to ensure full coverage for the top
  6. Chill for 20–30 minutes before serving to help layers set and improve texture.
